Mission

BIE Magnum Ltd is built on 50 years of expertise through continuous improvement. Developing our people and services, to be an innovative leader in quality and bespoke industrial engineering paint, print, engraving and treatment finishing solutions of critical parts, boxes, panels and labels, all under one roof! Our dedicated team deliver a trusted service, on time and in full, that our customers including Rolls Royce, Leonardo and GKN have come to depend on. Specialising in the Aerospace, Defence, Rail, Sub Sea, Medical, Automotive, Food and the Nuclear sectors. We are investing in doubling our turnover in the next 3 years, offering our existing customers increased productivity through improved processes and procedures to the AS standard and building supplier partnerships.

We are Continuously Improving our safety, training, services, processes and procedures to reduce costs and increase productivity for everyone’s benefit.

Investing in a brighter future, we help run and fund an Orphanage and School in Zambia with a percentage of turnover donated monthly.

We are working towards a sustainable future with all metals, plastics, paper and chemicals within BIE Magnum being disposed of ensuring we are Caring for the Environment and recycling. We are funding the planting of 6.6 trees each month with the Woodland Trust to ensure a better future.

Company History

BIE (Bristol Industrial Engraving) was formed in 1973 providing quality identification products. From simple engraved labels, panels and nameplates to sophisticated machined and sub surface printed products. In 1983 BIE formed a partnership with Magnum Finishing Company, adding paint finishing to our portfolio. Then in 2006 the two companies merged to one premises and one company forming BIE Magnum. In 2016 BIE Magnum was sold and has received heavy investment and restructure in order to develop a strong foundation to grow.

It's all about the people

Sarah Rodgerson, Managing Director – an alumni member of The Oxford University, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK programme, providing high-quality, practical education and business support to leaders of high-growth small businesses. She is also a graduate of Bath University’s Productivity through People Course in Empowering leadership, Process innovation and improvement, Working in partnerships and aligning the business and communications. Sarah has 30 years Managment and Marketing experience.

Matthew Garland, Production & Quality Manager – Time served apprentice and qualified Electronics Engineer. Proven track record of delivering results whilst improving both external supplier and internal quality, through effective management and implementation of Lean working principles. Over 15 years of leadership experience within the Engineering and Manufacturing sectors, leading teams of varying sizes. Working for a number of high-profile and industry leading organisations such as QinetiQ, Siemens Rail and Viper innovations Ltd.
